Alexandre Dumas (1802-1870) was one of the outstanding writers of serialized novels in French newspapers during the first half of the 19th century. Alexandre Dumas (July 24, 1802- December 5, 1870), also known as Alexandre Dumas, was a 19th-century French romantic writer and the author of the world literary masterpiece "The Count of Monte Cristo". Alexandre Dumas was self-taught and wrote over 300 volumes of various works throughout his life, mainly known for his novels and plays. After the outbreak of the French Revolution, Alexandre Dumas made remarkable achievements and became a general in the Republican government. On December 5, 1870, Alexandre Dumas passed away in the countryside near Dieppe in Upper Normandy, northwestern France, at the age of 68. Alexandre Dumas was the 72nd person to make extraordinary contributions to France and the sixth French writer to enter the Pantheon, following Voltaire, Rousseau, Hugo, Zola, and Malrault.
