Abstract lyrical expression
The Border Town was written between 1933 and early 1934. The work focuses on the changes in the fate of ordinary and kind people, depicting the tragic love story of the Hunan woman Cuicui due to unexpected circumstances.
Alice's Journey to China "is a fairy tale created by literary master Shen Congwen. The work draws on the techniques and style of the literary masterpiece "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland", allowing the main characters of the book, Miss Alice, a British girl, and Mr. Nuoxi, a rabbit gentleman, to come to China. They traveled to big cities and remote villages in China, encountering many ridiculous, strange, and shocking things. Finally, witnessing the inhumane slave trade in the Miao residential area of Xiangxi, the two of them left China in sorrow.
