Abstract
The Complete Library of Four Treasures was compiled by over 360 high-ranking officials and scholars, including Ji Xiaolan, under the leadership of Emperor Qianlong. It was copied by more than 3800 people and took thirteen years to compile. The series is divided into four parts: classics, history, literature, and collections, hence the name Siku. There are over 3500 books, 79000 volumes, 36000 volumes, and approximately 800 million words, which basically cover all ancient Chinese books, hence the name 'Quanshu'. At that time, Emperor Qianlong ordered the copying of seven volumes of the Complete Library of Four Treasures and ordered them to be stored in various parts of the country. The four pre copied parts are stored in the Wenyuan Pavilion in the Forbidden City, the Wensu Pavilion in Shenyang, Liaoning, the Wenyuan Pavilion in the Yuanmingyuan, and the Wenjin Pavilion in Chengde, Hebei for collection. This is known as the "Northern Four Pavilions". The three copied parts are stored in the collections of Yangzhou Wenhui Pavilion, Zhenjiang Wenzong Pavilion, and Hangzhou Wenlan Pavilion, which are known as the "South Three Pavilions".
