Party politics is an important feature of modern political civilization. Studying the governing laws of political parties is also a major topic in political science research. The position of the ruling party is not innate, nor is it permanent. It is not easy for Marxist political parties to seize political power, and it is even more difficult to maintain good political power for a long time. It is crucial to deeply summarize the experiences and lessons of the rise and fall of some ruling parties in the world, as well as the experiences and lessons of our party's governance practice for more than half a century, and explore the laws of governance, in order to carry forward the cause of the party and the country and open up the future.
The "Research Series on the Ruling Party" (hereinafter referred to as the "Series") is organized and written by the Shanghai Deng Xiaoping Theory and the Important Thought Research Center of the "Three Represents". The planning and launch of the 'Book Series' began in 2003. The first batch of topics involve the legitimacy of the Communist Party's governance, the political mobilization and integration of the Communist Party, the Communist Party's governance model and system, the Communist Party's leadership and governance capabilities, political communication and ideological integration, the cultural strategy and public opinion construction of the Communist Party's governance, the governance cost and performance of the ruling party, the political benefits of the Communist Party's governance, the Communist Party's governance methods and work processes, the construction, maintenance and development of the Communist Party's governance discourse power, the social foundation of the Communist Party's governance, and the power supervision system of the Communist Party's governance.
The topic selection of the "Series" comes from practice. The compilation of the "Book Series" is a work that continues to deepen with the development of practice. We warmly welcome experts and scholars who are interested in exploring the governing laws of the ruling party, proposing and studying major theoretical and practical issues related to the ruling party's governance. We will provide publishing support as a part of the 'Series'.
After completing the initial draft of each type of the "Series", relevant experts were invited to review it. Nearly 20 experts participated in the review of this "Series" and their suggestions for revisions added a lot of color to it. We would like to express our sincere gratitude!
