王树森，山西宁武关人，1946年生。国家一级作家，中国作家协会会员。从事文学艺术事业40多年来，历任小学和中师语文音乐教师，文工团编导兼演奏员、宣传文化干事。县委办和政研室副主任、党史县志办主任、主编，县文联主席等。出版专著《兵变》、《隋杨泪》、《阎锡山这个人》、《冈村宁茨受审记》、《血溅中山陵》、《履踪瞻絮》、《宁武风光集萃全典》、《芦芽山》、《芦芽山风物传说》、《威风鼓》、《神武潮颂》等，主编有《宁武县志》，2008年结集出版《王树森作品大系》。作品获全国及省市级各类奖励30余项。被授于2004年度全国“百名人民艺术家”之一荣誉称号。
