Teenagers are the sustenance and hope of families, and their growth is also a concern for the entire society. Since 2000, when I started teaching and practicing social work, I first entered the field of youth social work in schools and communities. In the past 10 years, I have come into contact with many teenagers known as "deviant students", "pre control students", "custody students", and "juvenile delinquents", and have also seen the helplessness of many schools and families and the helplessness of society. Many researchers have conducted research on adolescent issues from various perspectives, but from many research results, we can hardly hear the voices of adolescents themselves and see their growth trajectory. I am eager to obtain answers. In November 2003, I entered the Department of Applied Social Sciences at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where I studied under Professor Ruan Zengyuanqi for a doctoral degree. I began researching the social interaction process of marginalized adolescents with deviant tendencies. After six years of studying and researching, I have pursued the exploration of the growth trajectory and meaning of life for teenagers. I hope to form suggestions and insights on social work services for teenagers through understanding and comprehending their behavior and lifestyle, and contribute to the happy growth of "deviant" teenagers.
Fei Meiping, Ph.D., mainly engages in theoretical and practical research on youth social work and corrective social work. I am currently an associate professor in the Department of Social Work at East China University of Science and Technology. I am also a member of the Youth Social Work Professional Committee of the Shanghai Social Workers Association, a director and expert supervision committee member of the Shanghai Sunshine Community Youth Affairs Center, and a director of the Shanghai Zhongzhi Community Service Society. He has published multiple works such as "Research on Methods and Techniques of Community Youth Social Work", "Analysis of the Practical Process of Community Correction", and "Introduction to Social Security", and has published more than 20 research papers in related fields.
