Three common skin problems in infants
1. Drying and desquamation
Newborns have dry and flaky skin, most commonly found on the palms and soles of the feet, which is a normal phenomenon and not a skin disease
The skin belongs to the "dry" type. Most of them will disappear quickly within a few days after birth.
Nursing strategy: A small amount of baby oil can be gently applied to the surface of dry skin to keep it moist and relieve symptoms.
2. Diaper rash
Diaper rash is a skin disease caused by the stimulation of baby's skin during urination and defecation, or it may be caused by not washing the cloth diaper thoroughly with soap and water during washing
Nursing strategy: It is necessary to promptly replace diapers that have been soiled or wetted by the baby; When changing diapers, wash the baby's buttocks with warm water and do not use soap or overheated water (should be>40 ℃); Apply baby hip cream, preferably under the guidance of a doctor for medication treatment and enhanced care.
3.痱子
Baby's skin is prone to heat rash in summer.
Nursing strategy: Keep the room ventilated and cool, do not wear too much, take a shower with warm water, and keep the skin dry. If the symptoms of prickly heat persist and cannot be relieved, one should go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment.
【 Love Reminder 】:
If there is urinary irritation for more than a week, seek medical advice and take necessary measures.
