In order to comprehensively improve the musicality of R1900TIII, Phil Jones, who had previously designed AE-1 and AE-2, was specially hired to perform tuning work.
The main features of R1900TIII are

1、 60W powerful power
The R1900T III adopts the new generation LM4766 power amplifier chip from National Semiconductor of the United States, which can provide up to 80W of powerful power. The powerful power provides better bass control ability, taking the R1900 series' highly acclaimed bass performance to the next level, allowing for smooth and effortless transmission and reception in more situations. High power can also create greater sound pressure, creating enough momentum to render music in certain scenes more realistically. The benefits of high power are not limited to this, it can also provide a larger range of undistorted power. Each type of IC has its own distortion size, which is not constant. Often, as the power increases, the distortion also increases. Under the same power output, high-power ICs can provide a much lower distortion rate than low-power ICs. Switching to high-power ICs can help improve sound quality in any situation, and the effect is very significant. The R1900T III is not labeled with a rated power of 80W for LM4766, but is actually labeled as 60W for this reason.
The R1900TIII inherits the highly successful front-end design, making the entire amplifier circuit design simple and practical, significantly improving sound transparency, signal-to-noise ratio, and conversion rate.
2、 High power toroidal transformer
Switching to high-power amplifier ICs not only improves sound quality, but also brings direct cost increases, requiring the installation of large transformers. When playing music with large dynamics and scenes, the actual power output of the power amplifier IC will be greater than the rated power in an instant. To truly achieve foolproof performance, the transformer power must also have a certain margin to avoid distortion caused by insufficient input power during these times. Because of these issues, the R1900TIII is equipped with a high-quality and powerful toroidal transformer to ensure that the speaker does not experience momentary distortion.
3、 Equal volume design
Active speakers have built-in power amplifiers. Speakers with power amplifiers installed are generally referred to as the main box, while those without amplifiers are referred to as the sub box. In addition to the power amplifier installed in the main box, transformers are also installed, and the volume of these components is not small. Therefore, the actual volume of the main box and the sub box is not the same. Different volumes will affect the bass performance of the two speakers, which means that the bass of the two speakers will be slightly different. The difference will cause channel imbalance and tilt the sound field to one side. The difference in actual internal volume can also lead to differences in the internal acoustic structure of the two speakers, and the middle and high frequency parts cannot escape its harm. R1900TIII creatively developed an equal volume design, installing a transformer sized container in the secondary box to achieve a more balanced sound and internal acoustic structure between the two speakers.
4、 Speaker

This speaker has an advanced magnetic circuit design and uses imported silk film, resulting in soft and delicate sound. Among numerous diaphragms, the listening experience of silk diaphragm is the most widely accepted by the public. Among the existing high-end speakers, the vast majority use silk diaphragm, which has the most balanced performance and the best listening endurance for high pitched sound. This is also the reason why the R1900 series has always been fond of silk diaphragm.
The subwoofer of R1900T III is F50NT. It adopts a symmetrical magnetic circuit and a long stroke design, greatly improving the bass quality. The magnitude of bass volume is related to the volume of air pushed, and the larger the volume pushed, the stronger the bass volume. In the case of equivalent stroke, a larger diaphragm can push a larger volume of air, which is the relationship between aperture and sensing. In order to improve the sense of volume within a limited aperture, increasing the motion stroke is an effective method. Using a symmetrical magnetic circuit can significantly improve the control ability of the speaker, allowing for a balance between speed, force, and volume perception. This speaker diaphragm is specially developed, which is woven from cotton thread and coated with special glue on the surface, effectively improving the bass intensity and purity, and reducing distortion to a lower level.
5、 Frequency divider
The R1900T III adopts a standard 12dB frequency divider, which is the soul of the R1900T III. Therefore, the frequency divider has been carefully tuned countless times to explore the speaker performance, making the R1900TIII have a relatively flat frequency response curve.
While ensuring frequency response, the R1900T III not only pursues excellence in specifications, but also focuses more on tuning the tone. After countless personal adjustments by master Phil Jones, the R1900T III's tone has become soft, mellow, and warm. The R1900T III not only maintains the excellent sound fluency and durability of its predecessors, but also significantly improves its resolution, taking the sound quality level of the R1900 series to a new level.

5、 Many other improvements
In other aspects, R1900T III has also made many improvements, adding more designs that are closer to users' actual usage needs.
Considering that there are currently many users with multiple audio sources, the R1900T III has added dual RCA inputs. These two sets of inputs are exactly the same, but it allows the R1900TIII to connect to two sets of audio sources. Dual sound card users should be quite fond of it.
The R1900T III has also abandoned the commonly used butterfly clip and adopted terminal posts with better contact performance. The terminal posts are protected by plastic shells of different colors, which not only facilitates polarity identification, but also prevents contact performance degradation caused by terminal post oxidation. The plastic shell can greatly reduce the possibility of short circuits when twisting wires.
In order to improve the quality of signal transmission, the R1900T III is equipped with a 100 strand high-quality speaker cable, which minimizes signal transmission loss.
